  I'm giving it a two star because the place was nice I made an appointment and everything went pretty fast lady that rang me up was kind. Everything was great... until I got to the behind the wheel exam. The examer I got was a lady named Mary I had just seen her fail the girl in front of me so I was a bit worried. However, I was still very confident I had a good amount of practice and my driving instructor said I drive very well so I was sure I'd pass. 10 seconds into the exam.. and I failed . Now let me just say that it was not at all my fault. The examer panicked because a car was creeping out of a drive way to the left of us. Keep in mind I had a VERY safe distance from the car and the driver obviously saw me but the examiner panicked and honked the horn and I failed because I "didn't react" there was absolutely nothing to react to I'm on the street I have the right of way everything was fine. So now I've failed my first behind the wheel test and all I can say is if you go here to take your test.. watch out for Mary. She is very rude and has no problem failing people. I say she's rude not only for her outburst but also in the beginning I introduced myself and put my hand out to shake and she just started at me. So yeah bad experience and I hope to pass on my next attempt with Mary. I do hope she is fired as that is clearly not a job suited for her and her temperament.

  I was so thrilled with my experience at the DMV today. I didn't have an appointment and was very apprehensive regarding the possible wait time I might have to experience. From the time I was greeted at the door, until the time I completed my business I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. The physical building was immaculately clean and well cared for. My wait time was less than 30 min. My previous experience with a DMV was out of state and less than stellar. Kudos to the state of California and the wonderful employees at the DMV office in San Ysidro for making my day.

  Waited 2.5 hours for what should've been a quick car inspection (this isn't including the other 1.5 hours I was inside for my appointment.) When several people left the vehicle inspection line to complain to the manager about the extended car inspection wait, the manager's argument was "there are 5 inspectors out there right now." No, there wasn't anyone inspecting for nearly 2 hours!
