  USE has been terribly disappointing. When I set up my checking account, they told me they would send me a box of checks and that I would have access to my initial deposit after 10 days. I went in after ten days, and they said there was still a hold on the money, but they would *just this once* do me this favor and lift the hold. Also, it had been a week and a half and still no checks; I had to set up direct deposit for my new job, so I called to ask for my routing and account number. The guy on the phone told me no checks had ever been ordered for me. Also, I deposited a second check into my account, and they told me there would be a ten-day hold on that also (so we'll see when I see that money...) They're unprofessional and untrustworthy. Plus their interest rates are low. GO ELSEWHERE!

  I have been consistently treated very professionally and my transactions have always been processed accurately. The tellers and loan officers have always been pleasant and genuine. I was treated as a member and a colleague rather than just another account. I always recommend my credit union, USECU, because of the non-profit management style that emphasizes customer service and loyalty to their members rather than just an increasing bottom line as is the case with other traditional banks. And this SDSU campus location is one of my favorite locations. My only complaint is that the SDSU branch is the nearest to me, but has been closed temporarily during reconstruction. I can't wait for them to reopen!
